In July 2026, Marillion performed two extraordinary nights at the Amphitheatre of Pompeii. Built in 70 BC and standing for over two thousand years, the venue has hosted only a handful of significant music performances in its modern history, most famously Pink Floyd's legendary 1971 film.
Filmed in a 15 camera shoot in 4K, the two nights drew fans from over fifty countries to witness one of progressive rock's most celebrated bands in this iconic and historic setting.
The film captures a career-spanning set moving through some of the most cherished songs in the Marillion catalogue including Kayleigh, Easter, Seasons End, Afraid of Sunlight and The Crow and the Nightingale among them, alongside a performance of Ribbons and Lace, a new song from their forthcoming studio album.
For the second part of the special, Marillion is joined on stage by The Flowing Chords choir, adding another dimension to both the music and the atmosphere.
A truly dazzling night of music and lighting displays with the cameras capturing both the scale of the venue and the intimacy of the performance in equal measure.
