Suede’s arrival and success in British music in the 1990s was a true phenomenon. Fated as the best new band in Britain before they had even released a single, their debut album was the biggest selling for a generation and they heralded a new wave of acclaimed British music that became known as Britpop.

This feature-length documentary was made with full access to the band and their unexpurgated, incredible archive to tell their story in unprecedented detail. Pulling no punches, the film intelligently and honestly uncovers the highs and lows of their career; their roots and identity, their notable international success, the infamous power struggle, their impact, excesses and – ultimately – their recent, brilliant, acclaimed rebirth.

Frontman Brett Anderson and the band are joined by a strong cast that includes their early manager Ricky Gervais and former members including ex-Smith Mike Joyce in this genuinely unique, stylish, sharp and gripping film.
